Our Race Team & Car Prep – Built from Passion, Driven by Experience
Rock Up Racing is a family-run race team with its roots in the 1980s, when Ray Hollyman first started racing. Over the decades, that passion has grown into a full-blown motorsport outfit, now led by sons Rob and Charlie, who continue building the dream with every season.
All race cars are prepared, maintained, and developed by our in-house team at Coastal Motorsport, under the leadership of motorsport technician Tom. From fabrication and suspension setup to gearbox builds and engine tuning, we handle every detail ourselves to keep the cars fast and reliable.
We currently campaign a range of cars including:
- A turbocharged Porsche 964
- A bespoke spaceframe Ferrari Dino
- Fully prepped Alfa Romeo 33 and 146
- An 1968 2.0L Porsche 911
We’re also currently building an 1970’s Gen 2 Camaro race car, from the ground up, down to creating the carbon fibre body in house at Coastal Motorsport.
Race Series & Results
From grassroots to historic, Rock Up Racing competes across a variety of UK series including Bernie’s V8s, MSV All-Comers, CSCC Future Classics, and the Alfa Romeo & Italian Intermarque Championship.
We’ve taken home class wins, outright victories, and driver awards, proving our team and cars perform at the sharp end of the grid.

All of our race cars are built, developed, and fine-tuned by the team at Coastal Motorsport in North Walsham.
With decades of mechanical and motorsport experience, we handle everything from chassis fabrication to corner-weighting, engine builds, and dyno tuning – ensuring every car hits the grid fully dialled-in.
Supporting Fellow racing Drivers
What we’ve built for ourselves, we now offer to others. Through our Arrive & Drive packages, drivers can join the team and compete in a professionally-prepped car with full support throughout the race weekend.
We bring the experience, tools, hospitality and data, you bring your helmet and passion.
