This week at Coastal Motorsport we had the pleasure of turning a standard VW Polo into a proper little weapon. It arrived in the workshop for a full service—always the best starting point before any performance tuning—and left transformed, thanks to one of our custom Stage 1 remaps.

After giving it a fresh bill of health with new oil, filters, and a full systems check, we loaded it onto our tuning software and got to work optimising its performance.

The Results?

• Power: Up from 140 bhp to 170 bhp

• Torque: Increased from 250 Nm to a punchy 300 Nm

The difference behind the wheel is night and day—stronger pull through the gears, sharper throttle response, and a much more eager drive across the rev range. It’s now a proper pocket rocket, ideal for drivers who want everyday usability with a healthy dose of fun.
